YOUR
HOST
Roberto Giobbi is a full-time professional magician who is probably
best known as the author of the international best-selling four-volume
series, Card College. Now translated into different languages, Card
College has become the standard instructional guide for the study of
close-up magic with playing cards. Not simply a collection of tricks,
Card College is an unprecedented learning and teaching tool.
Roberto Giobbi is also a past prize-winner in close-up card magic at
FISM, the world's most prestigious magic competition. Intimately familiar
with the mentoring process, Roberto's own mentor was none other than
the Spanish maestro, the late Arturo d'Ascanio, who declared Roberto
to be his spiritual "son" in his introduction to Card College.
As such, Roberto is intimately involved in "the Spanish School"
of card magic established by Ascanio, and carried forward today by Giobbi's
close colleague, Juan Tamariz. Roberto is a regular attendee at Tamariz's
legendary "Escorial" conference in Spain, and has partnered
with Tamariz in the past in intensive multi-day teaching seminars.
Roberto is also a full-time corporate entertainer and communicator,
who performs in a variety of professional settings, including as a corporate
motivator and educator, as well as entertainer, for some of the most
prestigious firms in his native Switzerland and throughout Europe.
Roberto has rarely been seen in Belgium… He has no future plans
of lecturing here, as his professional performing career keeps him far
too busy.

The Magic Session is high quality, personalized training. We expect
that you will enjoy yourself in many ways, in a sociable environment
and a stimulating setting. You will be inspired, you will be instructed,
you will be motivated, and you will learn many, many things -
some things you might anticipate, and certainly some things which
will be unexpected. We are confident you will come away with knowledge
and skills, and ways of thinking about and studying magic, that
will serve you for the rest of your lives.
The fee for the conference is 349 Euros. This registration will
include attendance, and the Gala Diner on Saturday evening.

!
The Magic Session is strictly limited to 25 registrants. You must
provide a 50% deposit in order to register, which is refundable due
to cancellation before August 1, 2002. After this date, registration
fees must be paid in full, and are not refundable unless the conference
itself is cancelled entirely.
The Gala
Diner is restricted to 250 people, don't wait if you want to be part
of the Magic!

SUMMARY
You will easily be spending many hours of pure instructional time

Special conference room rates at the Hotel are 124 Euros per night.
You may arrive Friday night, September 20th , if you wish, or Saturday
morning, September 21st ; formally scheduled conference events begin
Saturday at 10:00 p.m. All who are present will be welcome to attend
casual gatherings late Friday night (for early arrivals) or Saturday
morning, prior to the first session. Details will continue to be provided
as deadlines grow closer. You must, of course, book your own travel
to Brussels and to and from the hotel.
